October 2026
Dear neighbors,
Bridgeton takes its name from a bridge over the Cohansey. The work of this foundation is a smaller version of that idea: a way across, between the people who police this city and the people who live here.
Officers in Bridgeton and the surrounding Cumberland County area carry a job the city budget has to fund first. A budget covers salaries, cars, and the work that cannot wait. It does not always cover a training seat, a piece of gear, a youth night, or a family that has been knocked sideways.
That gap is what the Blue & Gold Foundation is for. Neighbors, businesses, and civic groups will be able to give toward those needs, and the department and community partners will be able to ask for them in the open. Grants will be decided by a board, and the money in and the money out will be reported.
We are at the beginning. The board list on this site is still empty on purpose. Online gifts are not being taken yet. No grant round is open. If you want to help shape what comes first, write to us. If you need the police, call the department. If you have an emergency, call 911.
Thank you for looking after the place we share.
